Viscosity …… A sticky subject

Softalind® Visco Rub provides a unique alternative to thick gels or liquids. Thick Gels with a high viscosity are easy to control and have reduced drip, but due the increased stickiness and clogging compliance can be low. Liquids have no viscosity and offer greater acceptability due to no residues, however liquids can drip if no training is offered.

Softalind® Visco Rub has a low level of viscosity which makes it easier to handle and control in comparison to a liquid but has a lower level of viscosity than thick gels so shows reduced stickiness, less clogging and quicker drying. Softalind Visco Rub is more acceptable in use therefore increasing compliance.

Softalind® Visco Rub is now available through NHS logistics in the 500 ml with integral pump variant and is already being used by several NHS and private Hospitals throughout the UK
